We’re Chris and Anna, a slightly eccentric couple living in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are parents of two cats: an elegant little lady named Mrs Norris and Charlie (DNA results pending... but definitely majestic, probably part raccoon, part cloud), and one adorable mini Irish Setter named Gimli (son of Glóin... destroyer of chew toys and guardian of the front yard). We share a deep love for all things curious and fantasy. Out of that was born the idea of creating Curioire—a modern-day cabinet of curiosities inspired by the cozy, the magical, and the slightly strange.
Historically, a cabinet of curiosities (or Wunderkammer) was a personal collection of rare, beautiful, or mysterious objects - oddities and treasures from far-off lands or deep imaginations. It was a space where art met science, and every item had a story.
For us, that idea felt like home.
At Curioire, we’ve reimagined the wonder room for everyday life - filling it with items that spark the same sense of magic and meaning: handpicked gifts, enchanting books, dreamy glass pipes, cozy comforts, and other little treasures that feel like they could’ve come from a wizard’s shelf or a secret forest shop.
We’re lifelong fantasy lovers - raised on fairytales, epic quests, and worlds where the ordinary is anything but. That love inspires everything we do. Whether you’re shopping for a gift, seeking something to spark your imagination, or just passing through, we hope Curioire feels like your personal cabinet of curiosities, too.
Thanks for visiting. Stay cozy, stay curious - and never stop believing in a bit of magic.
